for this second release the new parisian label street knowledge choose to produce two young native italians djs. peter jd and francys met in a small city in the south of italy, both evolving on the music scene since they are 14. peter is bringing the detroit house music touch whereas francys the 80s 90s music sound. from this collaboration is born the connection ep. where two different worlds find each other in a common space, connection ep brings different ideas of sound at the same time, by one side following a dry techno line with pumping drums and solid grooves, by the other side warmer and deeper, crossing hypnotic detroit flavored synths, chicago house, organic elements and chromatic female vocals. to make this release totally international jenifa mayanja from connecticut and the greek quell are delivering two remixes that should make a bomb effect on all the dance floors.

imperious spanish imprint deep explorer reaches release number 26 with a split ep featuring altered moods malcolm moore alongside long time explorer bjak (real name brian cullen). bjaks two cuts - >rhythm of love< and >purple fire< - are both produced with typically immaculate poise, but its the sultry nature of the latter cut that had everyone at juno hq swooning. malcolm moore meanwhile serves up the swooping chords and rock hard bump of >love (a perilous thing)<, which features an ethereal vocal contribution from debra jones-davis, who talks about the dangers of the l-word while the lush arrangement works deep below in the mix. jenifa mayanja rounds off a consummate package with a shuffling, latin-influenced remix of >love (a perilous thing)<.
hold on tight cause here comes a game changer, jen & ed edj 001 delivers a first for the couple best known as dj jus-ed and jenifa mayanja. the two producers team up to deliver a rousing two tracker that cuts right to the chase. the a side features >dark matter< from jen which is a high speed baleraic dancefloor smasher with an old school tribal feel. >slammer< by ed grabs the dancers by the hoofs and never lets go with its addictive chants and stabs throughout the groove. this release may be considered controversial for some but for jen & ed its just another day at the office. edj recordings is a sub label of uunderground quality / bu-mako recordings
